DWI Arrest Process

The LADRIVING system provides a standardized method for all Louisiana Law Enforcement Officers to enter and process DWI arrest data.  The New Arrest process is designed to eliminate dual entry of duplicate data, validate data for accuracy and consistency, offer ease-of-use tools such as drop-down lists and type ahead features, auto-save arrest drafts, search state and national databases for arrestee and vehicle data, and provide a workflow process for a DWI arrest case within LADRIVING.

A new DWI Arrest is comprised of a case menu of several tabs that represent a different page for the arrest case.  Users can follow the case menu order of pages within the DWI Arrest draft or can choose to navigate around the pages in any order. 

 

The pages in a DWI Arrest are:

 

Most pages contain sections that can be expanded and collapsed to further reduce scrolling within the application.  To expand a section that is closed, click on the section’s header or the + symbol in the header bar.  To collapse a section, simply click on the open section’s header or the - symbol in the header bar. Within the sections of each page, required fields are marked with a red asterisk.  The system will display an  on menu tabs for any page where required fields are missing data.  A DWI Arrest draft cannot be submitted to a supervisor for approval until all of the required fields are complete.
