Arrestee's Rights Information
DWI Arrest Process > Rights/Court/Temp DL > Arrestee's Rights Information

The Arrestee’s Rights Information section is where the arresting officer reads the arrestee their rights and enters details about the Arrestee’s Rights including:  Date, Time, and Location the Arrestee’s Rights were read. Officers may view the Witness(es) to the Arrestee's Rights within this section, but the role must be assigned on the Case Officers page. The officer also has the ability to view the Arrestee's Rights.

NOTE:  The Play Arrestee Rights Audio feature is no longer available. Refer to LRS 32:661(C)(1)(2).

 

Arrestee Rights Information on Rights/Court/Temp DL page

 

To view Arrestee’s Rights information:

  1. To expand the Arrestee’s Rights Information section, click on the section header or the + in the header bar
  2. Click the Open Arrestee Rights button
  3. Read the arrestee their Arrestee’s Rights Form from the Arrestee Rights window
  4. Scroll down the Arrestee Rights window and select Yes for “Officer Read the Arrestee’s Rights?”  


  5. Enter the Location the Arrestee's Rights were read 

To continue with the DWI Arrest draft, the officer moves to the Arrestee's Arrestee (DPS) Rights Signature section.  To expand the Arrestee's Arrestee (DPS) Rights Signature section, click on the section header or the + symbol in the header bar.
