A supervisor will “claim” a DWI Arrest draft or Case Supplement draft to take ownership of the approval process for a draft that has been submitted for approval.  The draft changes to the “Claimed/Pending” status; thereby preventing another supervisor from “claiming” it, and prohibiting the submitting officer from recalling the draft or supplement.

For a supervisor to “claim” a DWI Arrest draft or Case Supplement from the “Awaiting Approval” page:

1. Click the Home option in the Left Side Navigation Menu.
2. Click the Claim button under the Action column in the row of the draft or supplement that was submitted by an officer within your command.
3. Review Case Summary details for selected draft or supplement in the Claim Case? window.
4. Click the Claim button.

For a supervisor to “claim” from within the submitted DWI Arrest draft:

1. Click the Home option in the Left Side Navigation Menu.
2. Click on the Arrestee Name to open the submitted DWI Arrest draft.
3. Review the details in the DWI Arrest draft.
4. Click the Claim Case button at the bottom of the page.
5. Select Yes to confirm.

For a supervisor to “claim” from within the submitted Case Supplement draft:

1. Click the Home option in the Left Side Navigation Menu.
2. Click on the Arrestee Name to open the submitted Case Supplement draft.
3. Review the details in the Case Supplement draft.
4. Click the Claim Supplement button.
5. Select Yes to confirm.
